When One Wire Breaks, Duo Keeps Two Zones Running

Pluvion Duo is built on the same digital architecture and solid‑state switching technology used in Pluvion 2·WIRE, delivering dependable performance in a compact, purpose‑built form. It’s designed for fast field repairs when a single conductor has failed, allowing two sprinkler zones to be routed over the remaining wire. Duo provides a clean, efficient way to restore operation without trenching or rewiring, making it the ideal solution for quick two‑zone recovery in the field.

Minimal Footprint. Maximum Utility.

Pluvion Duo fits powerful functionality into a remarkably compact package: just 1.8" × 1.1" × 0.5". The transmitter is small enough to fit inside many outdoor sprinkler timer enclosures, while the receiver drops neatly into the valve box for a clean, straightforward install.

Both units are fully encapsulated in epoxy, making them completely waterproof. Duo’s minimal footprint and rugged construction make placement effortless in any installation.

How Duo Restores the Connection

Pluvion Duo lets you run two independent zones over a single functional field wire plus the common ground. Any two sprinkler timer outputs can be connected to the transmitter’s red and yellow leads, and the receiver will reproduce those same red and yellow signals to fire the matching solenoids in the valve box. The transmitter ties in at the sprinkler timer, the receiver ties in at the valves, and the system restores full two‑zone operation using just one conductor path. Because no trenching or major repair work is required, this installation can be completed quickly and with minimal effort.

Unlike traditional sprinkler multipliers and repair devices that rely on passive diode networks, Pluvion Duo uses the same solid‑state switching and digital signaling technology proven in Pluvion 2·WIRE. Diode‑based devices drop voltage, introduce a DC component onto the line, and can struggle to deliver a clean, consistent signal at the solenoid, especially on longer runs or systems with limited electrical margin. These conditions can lead to weak activation, solenoid overheating, or long‑term reliability issues. Duo avoids all of that by driving the solenoid with full‑strength, digitally controlled signals, ensuring proper operation across a wide range of wiring distances and system conditions.
